Goertz,<\/em> [1996] S.C.J. No.52, 19 R.F.L. (4<sup>th<\/sup>) 177 (S.C.C.) which sets out the following factors to be considered by the court when deciding on mobility cases, including:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The existing custody and access arrangements and relationships between the child and each parent;<\/li>\n<li>The desirability of maximizing contact between the child and both parents;<\/li>\n<li>The views of the child;<\/li>\n<li>The Custodial parent\u2019s reason for moving, but only in the exceptional case where it is relevant to that parent\u2019s ability to meet the needs of the child;<\/li>\n<li>The disruption to the child of a change in custody; and<\/li>\n<li>The disruption to the child consequent on removal from family, schools and the community he or she has come to know.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>In a British Columbia decision of <em>One, v One<\/em>, [2000] B.C.J. NO. 2178, 81 B.C.L.R. (3d) 315, 2000 BCSA 1584 (B.C.C.A), The Honourable Mr. Justice Burnyeat reviewed various decided cases that have produced the following 12 factors which have been considered by the courts since Gordon v Goertz in deciding what is in the best interests of the children:<\/p>\n<p>(A)\u00a0 <u>PARENTING CAPABILITIES OF AND CHILDREN\u2019S RELATIONSHIP WITH PARENTS AND NEW PARTNERS<\/u>:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Morrison v. Morrison,<\/em><\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canlii.org\/en\/bc\/bcsc\/doc\/2000\/2000bcsc1017\/2000bcsc1017.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"broken_link\">2000 BCSC 1017 (CanLII)<\/a>; <strong><em>Henderson-Thomson v.
